About Us

Our Vision

Time and Tide Content was founded in 2021 after our Managing Director Lucy Roue recognised a need to bring together trained journalists with business owners.

After making the switch from journalism to commercial content herself, Lucy experienced the power of quality content and the impact this could have on businesses. At the same time, she realised the importance of bridging the gap between creators and clients to produce content which hits all the KPIs.

Equally, she could see how business contacts were often being overcharged by agencies, who would put very junior writers on their account and were frustrated with not getting enough ROI on their investment.

Time and Tide Content will bridge that gap with Lucy acting as the account director/ content strategist for all clients.

It leaves our journalists to do what they do best, produce amazing well-written content. And our clients will see an improvement on engagement across: social media, creative assets, press coverage, brand awareness and lead generation.

As a purpose-driven business Time and Tide Content will also collaborate with select charities pro-bono to help them enhance their messaging – starting with childhood cancer charity The Joshua Tree.

We feel our model is an exciting disruptive way to improve the lives of journalists and business owners alike.

So we’re taking the plunge – because time and tide wait for no man…or woman!

Meet The Team

LUCY ROUE

Owner/Managing Director

Time and Tide Content is Lucy’s brainchild after spending 12 years in regional newsrooms across the North of England.

Still a ‘journo’ at heart, she trained with the Press Association in Newcastle before working her way up the journalism ranks. From trainee reporter at the Stoke Sentinel, to senior reporter at the Liverpool Echo, business editor at the Manchester

Evening News and regional commercial editor for Reach Plc.

This was the start of Lucy’s journey into commercial content, heading up paid campaigns for national clients including Huawei, The British Heart Foundation, Transport for Greater Manchester, the NHS and The National Trust.

During the last four years, Lucy has worked in corporate communications and marketing roles for Northern tech firms. She loves leading a team of creatives and has held senior management positions.

Lucy’s ‘happy place’ is by the sea after growing up in North Yorkshire. She lives with her partner Dan, and two guinea pigs (Connor and Liam) in South Manchester.

OUR CREATIVES

We currently have a team of four female creatives working for Time and Tide Content.

With two fully trained journalists, a graphic designer and social media expert in our midst.

However, as they all have full-time jobs in their respective industries we’re keeping them a secret for now – shhhhhhh!
